Travel Around the World with Excalibur’s NEW International Flavors
Experience the tastes of North Africa, Portugal, and the Far East without ever leaving the country. Excalibur’s bold new flavors are the perfect travel companion for your taste buds.
No need to rack up frequent flier miles to discover what’s trending in international flavors. Allow Excalibur to be your tour guide with four of our latest seasonings.
- Harissa
The Harissa blend sausage seasoning draws its influence from a spice in North Africa that’s a staple ingredient in a variety of dishes in the Middle East. With notes of chile, coriander, and cumin, Harissa is a signature flavor for stews and soups, even couscous, and is often a flavor found married alongside the best goat and lamb dishes. - Piri Piri
To the Iberian Peninsula where the “heat” continues to gain popularity among global flavor trends. Our Portuguese Piri Piri sausage seasoning blends a bit of spice and fire to enhance proteins, while also pairing favorably with chicken. The seasoning’s origins in Portugal start with Peri Peri, a chile-based sauce containing citrus peel, onion, garlic, paprika, pimiento and tarragon. - Gochujang
Heading east to Korea now, consider our Gochujang sausage seasoning. It’s combination of chili peppers, sticky rice, fermented soybeans and salt yield a truly unique flavor. While sweet to the palate, be prepared for a definite lingering heat. - Szechwan
And finally, with inspiration from Chinese cuisine we introduce our Szechwan Style Sausage Seasoning. Known for intense spiciness and bold flavor, our dry Szechwan blend includes garlic and chili peppers, with mild to medium heat. Best paired with meats such as beef and pork.
Be sure to stamp your flavor passport at the 2018 American Association of Meat Processors (AAMP) Convention in Kansas City, Missouri, July 19 – 21. There you can visit the Excalibur booth and sample all four of our latest international blends.
